After spending time on research of the PUNK/ROCK genre (our chosen one), we noticed that there are differences in the genre expectations. As our song is meant to be a hybrid between the two, as the music could be considered as similar, the visuals are easily distinguished. for example the PUNK videos have bright colours (Sum 41 and Blink 182), a silly look, where the artists often make fun of themselves and act rebellious, but in a non-violent, more casual way. On the other hand, the ROCK genre is more known to be dark and a bit depressing, deep and emotional (''My Chemical Romance'').
Taking this into consideration, we have decided to make our video hybrid all the way, not just
music- wise, containing typical genre expectations of both PUNK and ROCK. This will give us more freedom in the video-making and will help us target a wider audience.
The contrast is clear.
