Final Digipak Pages

This is the front and back of our digipak cover. We have decided to make it a cardboard case with 3 panels- 6 sides. The last side does not match directly with the front and back, however very few people actually open the panels in this way.

This is the inside of our digipak. The CD will go in the middle and the right side represents a pocket in which the DVD will be placed.

Creating the advert

We have now started working on the advert of our digipak. Below is a first draft of what it is looking like so far. We have decided to use a picture from our video which we think looks good and will draw the audience in to buy the digipak. We are currently working on the layout and fonts.

Editing

Recently we filmed the ''changing'' bits; the process did not take as along as we expected and now we are editing so here is what we have done so far. ( These is quite a bit of changing colour and cropping)

Creating the digipak

We have started creating the digipak now. Firstly we are working on the front cover of the digipak where we are using our own image and design, which is hand drawn and painted.

Here is a first draft for our front cover, we are working with the lighting of the picture to make it as clear as possible.

We have worked on the image correcting the brightness and contrast to make it look as bright as possible. Also we have tried out new colours for the name of the digipak.

We have nearly finished the front cover of our digipak. Below is a draft of what it is going to look like. Here we are trying to work with the fonts of the titles and make them blend in more with the hand drawn image used as the background.

Once receiving audience feedback for our front cover, most people picked up on that the colour of the font, saying that itdoesn't match the genre of our album. Taking on board this criticism we decided to re think our colour scheme through and go for a colour that reflected our genre more.

Creating the middle of our digipak:

2nd Draft:

We are currently working on the middle of our digipak. We are now nearly finished, however we are still unsure of what picture/colour to use as our background.

First Draft of back cover of digipak:

2nd Draft:

we are currently working on the image and now have made it brighter and less blury.

Editing

After putting most of the pieces together, we got more feedback and have decided to change slightly the beginning; the ''break -up'' part needs more work and the following shot where the band is just fooling around is too long, so it will be reduced and the blank space will be filled with other band scenes, which will be kind of casual- them just having fun without knowing they are being shot, and more close ups of instruments.

We have added a fast motion effect on one scene:

Most of the shots in this part are left overs from the performance shooting; they play an establishing role, some of them do not match perfectly but combining them in a slightly unusual way grabs the interest of the audience and encourages them to continue watching. The scenes also cut at a fast pace matching the beat of the song, creating some sort of a collage.

There is a wobbly bit when the main character is knotting on the door, so we have decided to get rid of that by putting a flashback, right before he knocks... in this way the video is going to have a lot more flashbacks than expected, but it should be fine, because the whole video is revolving around their relationship and the audience should be reminded of their cute moments together from time to time, also in this way the fact that they both thing about each other all the time is emphasised.
